A fabulous and extremely comfortable two seater ‘Castellane’ model two seater sofa by Howard & Sons of Berners Street, London, in its original faded light green silky upholstery, with the signature Howard ‘Siege De Duvet’ down filled arms and back, with two down filled seat cushions, raised on square tapered legs with brass castors.
This sofa also benefits from the unusual addition of a drop end, which can be adjusted to any angle for maximum comfort, and can be laid flat so as to allow you to fully recline. In our opinion the combination of the down cushions, back and arms, the soft fabric and the adjustable drop end make this one of the most comfortable and luxurious sofas imaginable.
Back leg stamped ‘Howard & Sons Ltd, Berners St’ and the serial number 7260 7678, and all castors stamped Howard & Sons Ltd, London.
We believe this sofa dates to the 1930’s or 1940’s.

In totally original condition. Frame very good with no issues. Some marks and small stains to fabric. Reupholster or use as is.
