Unique Industrial Tripod Lamp

£899.00
Sold

A large scale, over engineered, fully expandable tripod lamp, comprising a 1950’s floodlight from Craven Park in Hull (then a greyhound racing stadium, now the Rugby Union stadium of Hull KR), and an alloy tripod base by Spectra Physics, USA, sourced from Westlands helicopter factory in Yeovil (now Leonardo).

The lamp has been wired for domestic use, having a trio of low wattage lights on a brass column, with a reflective concave back and translucent glass front. The resultant light is dappled and soft.

The lamp has a new brown braided flex, a heavy duty toggle switch, and a brown Bakelite plug.

The tripod base has been painted a deep grey and is fully adjustable: The central column winds up and down using the crank handle and the legs are also telescopic. As a result the lamp can be nearly 9 feet high. The head of the lamp can also be adjusted to point in any direction.

Condition:

Excellent. Rust to the lamp casing - part of the originality and charm. Fully rewired, working and ready to go.

Dimensions:

156 to 260 cm high x 110 cm wide (approx)
