A rather extraordinary late Victorian Arts & Crafts lamp standard in the style of W.A.S Benson, with reeded brass column top and torpedo shaped oil reservoir, decorated all over with hand formed scrolls, flowers, tendrils and foliage in contrasting metals, other elements with cast, engraved and hammered decoration, on a triform base.

The top section lifts off to allow access to the reservoir which bears a makers plaque for ‘H.M. & Cos, PATENT, BIRMINGHAM’.

Almost certainly a one off.

Wired for electricity with antique brown fabric flex and a bulb holder with shade ring.

Condition:

In good condition. One or two decorative copper flowers seem to be missing.
