A handsome and comfortable pair of mahogany ‘Cockpen’ armchairs by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh, having duck egg blue velvet upholstery, saddle backs and seats, acanthus carved arms, distinctively splayed and moulded half round beaded front legs, round back legs and stretchers.
These generously proportioned chairs are very comfortable and take influence from 18th century Scottish examples.
Condition:
In good ready to use condition. One old leg restoration and some wear / flattening to the velvet.
