A superb Victorian teak military campaign chest of two short and three long drawers by The Army And Navy Co-Operative Society Limited, in two sections for transportation, with flush brass handles, brass corner and edge mounts, raised on the original turned legs.

The chest has the original Patent Acme lock to the top right hand drawer by Robert Cotterill & Co (manufactured by Henry Fear) and double lever locks to the rest of the drawers, remarkably with their original two keys.

Inscribed ‘Flemming’ in chalk underneath one drawer.

The chest is ink stamped with the maker underneath the top right drawer and was probably retailed by either Solomon Bros of Harrods in late 19th century.

Without doubt the best campaign chest we’ve had in stock.

Condition:

In excellent condition with lovely warm colour and nice patination. Smooth running drawers, working locks and original keys. Ready to go.
