This is a general arrangement engineering diagram of the ‘Gloster Fighter’ jet aircraft, which was a prototype of the Gloster Meteor - the first British jet fighter to achieve combat operations during the Second World War. Development of the aircraft first began in 1940 (engine development began in 1936) and it first flew in 1943, commencing combat operations in July 1944.

This original printed engineering diagram shows three different two dimensional cross section views of the aircraft and is initialled in the bottom right corner in red chalk ‘RWW’ and dated ‘15/4/43’.

A scarce and important part of early jet aviation history in the Second World War.

In a brand new deep black bespoke frame.

Condition:

Visible creases and folds with yellowing/discolouration. See photos.
